This is an analysis video of a simul simultaneous game. Grandmaster Garry Gary Kasparov vs versus Sting. Sting’s bishop ends up flying into a trap.

@almoghh
I don’t think he really thought he could beat him. Playing a match with Kasparov for a real chess fan (like Sting) is like an exhibition match with Mike Tyson for a boxing enthusiast. But less painful, of course.
Just a free lesson of how it should be done from a grandmaster and one of the greatest ever.

August 23rd, 2010 at 1:48 pmIn 2:35 of the vid. you stated that bishops are better then knights. True in that particular position of the game, that bishop was very strong on that diagonal, and I myself prefer bishops more then knights. But, you should’ve stated in the vid that the rule only applies to open positions where bishops have long range effects on diagonals. Knights are considered equals to bishops in chess, perhaps better if the position is closed.Either piece can be better in any game if worked well with it.

August 23rd, 2010 at 1:48 pmI would prefer it if you instead just played the opening moves without showing the obvious every time, and gave more of a general explanation of the main principles of the opening.
